Sometimes I think my little ideas and projects might be interesting to someone else. Maybe even someone far away, or far in the future. [Considering how fast the Earth is moving, the future is pretty far away.] Enjoy!

Intel Realsense Tracking camera automatically transforms Depth camera data.
The Intel Realsense technology is an inexpensive human scale visual distance (depth) measurement system. The recent tracking camera isn't just an addition to the line, it is multiplier. The tracking camera knows where it is pointed, and where it is in space. The translation and rotation data will transform the depth data automatically in the Realsense Viewer. It does this in real-time, at about 30 fps. Combined these devices could be used to create an area scanner. The point clouds created from sampled frames will be close to correct orientation.
